A Fresh and More Interesting Choice for News at 10 o’clock
PHOENIX - KTVK-3TV expands its live news coverage to nine hours a day with the premiere of 3TV News at 10pm on Monday, August 22nd at 10 p.m. The newscast promises to provide viewers with an immediate, interesting and interactive choice for local news in the coveted time slot. The 30 minute newscast will be anchored by 3TV’s Emmy-award winning reporter Carey Pena (@CareyPena3TV) and Fields Moseley (@FieldsMoseley), an award-winning veteran reporter/anchor. Moseley comes to Arizona from KUTV-TV in Salt Lake City.
“3TV News at 10pm will provide viewers a fresh and more interesting choice for news at 10 p.m.” said Brad Remington, 3TV Executive News Director. “The newscast will be local and engaging with some viewer-generated content. The format will be flexible, focused on hard news, attempting to look at not only what is happening but why."

Remington says 3TV News @ 10pm will feature more interaction with digital media including Facebook, Twitter and through www.azfamily.com. Pena, with more than 10,000 followers on Twitter, is ranked as the “Most Influential Tweeter” in Phoenix* and will use her social networks to get feedback on stories, mine for story ideas and take the general pulse of viewers. Fields is already engaging with local viewers through his Facebook page and twitter account.
3TV News @ 10pm will also focus on breaking news, weather from meteorologist Royal Norman (@RoyalNorman) and sports from Tim Ring (@TimRing3TV).
The newscast will immediately follow 3TV News at 9pm anchored by popular Valley news personality Beverly Kidd (@beverlykidd).
