Houston native Lily Jang returns to her hometown as co-anchor from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.
HOUSTON –– KHOU 11, Houston’s CBS station, will welcome a new face in the morning with the addition of Lily Jang as co-anchor of KHOU 11 News This Morning. Lily will anchor the 4:30 to 7:00 a.m. weekday newscast alongside Ron Trevino, Katherine Whaley and David Paul.
Lily comes to KHOU after spending the last seven years at KCPQ, the Fox station in Seattle. While there, Lily reported and co-anchored the station’s morning newscast. Prior to joining KCPQ, Lily was an anchor and reporter for Northwest Cable News and has also worked at stations in Birmingham, Alabama and Amarillo, Texas.
Born in Vietnam, but raised in Houston’s Copperfield area, Lily is looking forward to returning to her Texas roots and the city where her parents and family still reside. She also spent her college years in the Lone Star State at the University of Texas in Austin where she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Lily is an avid social media user with a loyal following on both Facebook and Twitter, twice receiving honors by The Huffington Post as a Twitter Powerhouse. She is a longtime member of the Asian American Journalists Association and is fluent in both Vietnamese and Cantonese.
KHOU 11 looks forward to welcoming Lily to the news desk in late February.
