WCNC-TV/6 News Emmy nominations
WCNC-TV receives the most nominations in the Charlotte market. Charlotte, NC.-- WCNC-TV/6 News receives 24 nominations in the 2004 National Academy of Television Arts and Science Mid-south region Emmy awards. WCNC nominations total more than any other television station in the state and all other television stations in the market combined. It is the second highest number of nominations in the region. In addition to Charlotte and Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, the region includes Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama. "It's gratifying to be nominated but more important is the professional recognition of the great work produced by everyone at 6 News day in and day out, "so says Keith Connors, News Director-6 News.
